Review how to say the key phrases one more time and try to do some of the activities listed below.

Review saying the key phrases:

  • 안녕하세요 (an-nyeong-ha-sae-yo) (hello)

  • 이름이 뭐예요? (ee-reum-ee mo-ae-yo) (eat)

  • 제 이름은 ____입니다 (jae ee-reum-eun ____ yib-nee-da) (my name is____.)


  • Take turns being the teacher and student and practice saying hello and good bye!

  • Here’s how you might practice:

    • Child: 안녕하세요 (hello: formal)

    • Teacher: 안녕 (hello: informal)

    • Child: 감사합니다 (thank you )

    • Child: 안녕히 가세요 (good bye: formal)

    • Teacher: 안녕! (good bye: informal)

  • Page 1: Play the audio by clicking on the word here → 나비 and ask your child to draw a picture of that word. If your child is stuck, here are some hints you can give:

    • In Korean, the name of this animal starts with a “n” sound

    • This bug can fly

    • It has colorful wings

    • …It’s a butterfly! In Korean, it’s 나비

  • Page 2: Practice writing the simple consonant ask your child if she/he remembers the animal who has a sound
